Caramel Nut Cookies

Fall – Time for Caramel Cookies

Fall flavours are amazing, it really is harvest season.    Grains and baking take up a bigger part of my fall meals planning.  The scent of baked cookies from a warm oven become a welcome addition to the home atmosphere. Spices, apples, fresh nuts,  caramel and maple are all reappearing in our menus.

I was craving caramel but didn’t want anything too sweet.  The oatmeal and nuts in this recipe cut down on the sugary sweetness of the caramel.

These cookies sound wonderful Will definitely have to give them a try! What do you think of using salted nuts in this recipe?

    1. LeannaForsythe says:

Hi Diane Hmmmm? I think it’s worth a try, as long as the salt stays on the nut and doesn’t go into the cookie. Thank you for the great idea, worth trying once to find out. Leanna
