Pretty DIY Home is operated in Bashaw, Canada by Leanna Forsythe.  The website is for entertainment purposes for residents of the United States and Canada.   For various reasons, I am not able to target any other countries in any way.

This privacy policy does seem like a bunch of legal jargon,  but it is my promise to you.

What to expect when you become a Pretty DIY Home Email Subscriber.

I hate spam. My inbox fills with useless junk that I didn’t ask for or want to see.  I will not send you spam.

It irks me when I sign up for one thing and receive another.  So, my commitment to you is simple… I will not send you irrelevant emails.

You will receive a Weekly Newsletter updating you with what’s happening in my world and my newest blog posts, wha’s up and coming, as well as offers and updates.

In efforts to keep my resources secure, I ask you to register with your name and email address.  Registration helps deter malicious people from accessing my content.   You will receive an email containing the login information.

Personal Information I Collect

Affiliate Marketing

When you visit Pretty DIY Home, I automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, I collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. This automatically-collected information is referred to as  “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Two types of email collection forms are used on the Site. The first is the form at the bottom of a post where you can share comments. Your email address is used to connect your account with Gravatar if you have one but is not used for any other purpose.

Forms for receiving special offers (printable packs, ebooks, etc.) are operated by ConvertKit, an email service provider. Your email address and name will be stored by ConvertKit and is accessible by myself Leanna Forsythe

You have the right to unsubscribe from emails through ConvertKit and to have your information forgotten at any time. Every email includes an “unsubscribe” option at the bottom. Click that link to immediately be removed from the ConvertKit email list or contact leanna@prettydiyhome.com and I will remove you.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.” Your payment information is collected by our payment processor (Stripe or Paypal) and is not stored within our website.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for delivery, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
Communicate with you;
Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

At no time should you submit sensitive personal information to the Website. This includes your social security number, information regarding race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, criminal background, or trade union memberships. If you elect to submit such information to us, it will be subject to this Privacy Policy.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

The Website does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16. If a parent or guardian believes that the Website has personally identifiable information of a child under the age of 16 in its database, please contact us immediately at leanna@prettydiyhome.com and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.
