Ingredients
2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips12 oz
½cupmini twist pretzels
1 to 2Granny Smith apples
¼cupcaramel sauce
1tablespoonlime juiceoptional
Instructions
Line a small baking sheet or tray with parchment paper and set aside.
Core and chop the unpeeled apples into small bite-sized pieces. Toss with lime juice to help prevent browning, then pat dry with a paper towel.
Place the chocolate chips into a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl. To avoid scorching the chocolate, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring and checking after each interval. Repeat until the chocolate is smooth and completely melted.
Spread three-quarters of the melted chocolate onto the prepared parchment paper, creating an even layer.
Sprinkle the pretzels and chopped apples over the chocolate.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples and pretzels.
Finish by drizzling the remaining melted chocolate over the top.
Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm.
Break the bark into pieces and serve.
Notes
Use firm tart apples such as Granny Smith for the best texture and flavor.
Tossing the apples with lime or lemon juice helps prevent browning.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy within a few days.
