Halloween Brownies with Chocolate Cat Silhouette
Black Cat Silhouette Halloween Desserts Brownies
These Halloween brownies with a cat in the moon silhouette are my latest idea for this year’s Halloween black cat theme. I think these are a perfect treat or Halloween snack idea to share with older siblings when little ones are chowing down on their Halloween candy.
Start by making or buying any brownie recipe you like. This is my favorite Brownie and Icing recipe that I used for these brownies.
Remove the brownies from the pan, then add the icing. Make the icing as smooth as possible and cut into 9 squares.
Halloween Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
An 8 by 8 pan of brownies recipe
Large white chocolate melting wafers
Cat silicone mold (Michael’s)
2 cups extra dark chocolate melting wafers
Halloween Brownie Recipe
Melt your extra doc chocolate wafer over low heat.
Fill mold, chill until solid and remove from pan.
Slice the brownies, into 9 large pieces.
Place a small dab of melted chocolate on the back corner of each brownie let cool until semi-solid. This helps hold the white chocolate wafer up, although to be honest, it seems like the icing would hold it on its own.
Place the large white chocolate wafer in front of the dab of dark chocolate to make the moon.
Place a dark chocolate cat in front of the white chocolate moon. Snuggle it down into the icing. The chocolate cats are thick enough to stand on there own.
Add oreo cookie crumbs to resemble dirt. (optional)
I went through quite a process before deciding to make these as Halloween brownies. You could do the same thing using chocolate cupcakes. Solid chocolate just seemed so appealing and less messy to create.
Cookie Variation
I also bought small cat cookie cutters. You can do the same thing with cookies. Using plain sugar cookie dough you can dip the cat in chocolate and the moon in white chocolate.
You can also do them on cupcakes with black cat candies if you want to skip the chocolate altogether.
Would you make these for a school party or a children’s Halloween party?
Happy Halloween
