Orange Mango Slush and Margarita Recipes
Orange Mango Slush Mocktail or Cocktail
This frozen mango slushy is going to make you and your family love having a blender. You can make this summer drink as it is for the entire family. Or you can spike it with Tequila and Cointreau for the adult margarita. Either way it’s a delicious frosty summer drink for warm days.
Unlike purchased slushies, this mango orange slush recipe has no added sugar. The combination of mango and orange juice is sweet enough all on its own.
Orange Mango Slush Recipe
Slush Ingredients
You can use either fresh or frozen mango in this recipe. I used the frozen mango as it’s already icy cold, but fresh mango works as well.
2 1/2 cups frozen mango, or 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
8-10 large ice cubes
Optional Garnish
8 small chunks of mango
4 sprigs of rosemary or cocktail sticks
Slush Instructions
Make the Garnish (optional)
If using frozen mango set aside 8 small pieces of mango and let thaw for about ten minutes. Place onto a rosemary spear, or a cocktail sword and set aside. If using fresh mango remove 8 small pieces while preparing your fresh mango for the slush.
Orange Mango Slush Instructions
Add the mango, lime juice, and orange juice to a blender. Pulse to combine.
Add ice cubes and pulse for a few more seconds until the ice is just crushed into small bits. Do not over blend.
Pour into serving glasses and garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
This beverage is so delicious and refreshing on a warm day.
Orange Mango Margarita Recipe
Margarita Ingredients
The mango orange margaritas, for adults, are made the same way, with the addition of Tequila and Cointreau.
2 1/2 cups frozen mango or 2 ripe mangos, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
3 oz Tequila
1 oz Cointreau (or other orange liqueur you have on hand)
8-10 large ice cubes
Optional Garnish
8 small chunks of mango
4 sprigs of rosemary or cocktail sticks
Margarita Instructions
Place the frozen or fresh mango, lime juice, and orange juice into a blender. Add 3 ounces of Tequila and 1 oz of Cointreau. Pulse to combine.
Add ice cubes and pulse for a few more seconds until the ice is just crushed into small bits. Do not over blend.
Pour into serving glasses and garnish with rosemary-mango spears. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Note: If you’re having a gathering and making both the mocktail version for children and the margarita version for adults; I suggest skipping the garnish on the adult margaritas, or using different glassware for the children. Children love pretty mocktails, but we certainly don’t want them to accidentally drink the cocktail version.

Other Summer Drinks to Try
Summer where we live is only a couple of months long. So when those warm days arrive we refuse to be indoors preferring to take in every minute of sunshine we can. Here are some other summer drink recipes we enjoy and I am pretty sure you will as well.

This sparkling blueberry lemonade is another nice variation of everyday lemonade. You can exchange the blueberries for Saskatoon berries if you like. Anyway, you serve it, it’s a great summer drink.
Grapefruit Slush
This grapefruit slush recipe make a large batch of frozen ice in an ice cream bucket. You begin by making an ice cream bucket of the slush base and then freezing it. To serve you scoop the frozen slush from the bucket and add pop. It’s truly delicious and thirst-quenching when made with grapefruit.
