Free Printable Christmas Potluck Sign-Up Sheets
Free printable Christmas potluck sign-up sheets are a handy way to organize and coordinate a Christmas party during the holiday season. There are many reasons to host a potluck event during the holidays and just as many reasons to use a sign-up sheet to help organize the gathering.
I created eight festive designs to choose from, so you can pick a Christmas sign up sheet that suits your gathering. There is also a simple digital version if you would rather organize your potluck online.
Reasons to Use a Christmas Potluck Sign-Up Sheet
- One Item – You only need to make one item. Participants can sign up for a specific dish or treat they want to bring.
- Variety of Food Choices – Potluck dinners usually offer a nice variety of dishes, giving everyone the chance to try foods and flavors they may not normally make at home.
- Number of Servings – You can check the sign-up sheet to see how many people are planning to attend and make sure there is enough food for everyone.
- Reduces Duplicates and Omissions – People can see what others are bringing before they sign up, making it easier to avoid duplicates and fill any gaps in the menu.
- Inclusive – Posting a printable potluck sign-up sheet on a bulletin board makes it easy for everyone in the group to participate.
All potluck parties are unique, so I included different styles of free printable potluck sign-up sheets with categories for side dishes, drinks, main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and more. Some people are gifted cooks or bakers, while others would love to participate but are more comfortable bringing condiments or paperware.

I recently wrote a post about enjoying Christmas for less and included the idea of hosting a Christmas potluck dinner. Hosting your Christmas dinner as a potluck is a great way to share the cost and the preparation between family members. In addition, a Christmas potluck gives everyone a chance to share a favorite recipe with family and friends while trying something new.

There is also one simple Christmas potluck sheet in Google Sheets for electronic sharing. It’s an editable sheet you can email or share with participants. This works well for a large family Christmas potluck, especially when you may not see everyone in person before the gathering.

Tips for Organizing a Christmas Potluck
Whether you’re hosting a holiday party at a community seniors center, an office Christmas potluck, or a classroom party, a sign-up sheet is an easy way to organize a good variety of food for everyone to enjoy.
I was tasked with hosting potlucks at work every month and would occasionally host a “bring anything you want” potluck party. This worked well for a fun, casual event where everyone knew we would eat whatever arrived. We did end up with duplicates, like several buckets of KFC chicken and lots of chili. Thankfully, our employer gave me a budget to provide the basics, including salad, buns, plates, and beverages.
For the best results and a great variety of food, especially for a holiday potluck party or special event, it is best to choose a sign-up sheet with several different sections. This ensures you have a complete menu with a good variety of dishes and courses. Separate sections also make it easier to plan enough desserts and side dishes while keeping dietary needs and allergies in mind. This also makes it easier for participants to see what is still needed.
I hope you find a Christmas potluck sign-up sheet that works perfectly for your gathering. Enjoy the holidays!
