Easy Halloween Party Snack Mix: Ghost Crunch
There are so many fun modern names for Halloween party snack mix ideas, especially when you are serving them to children. I chose to call this easy Halloween party snack mix Ghost Crunch because of the creamy white chocolate coating and all those crunchy cereals and pretzels.
Whatever you decide to call it, this is an easy mix, melt, and no-bake Halloween treat that makes a big enough batch for a party, classroom treat, or family movie night.

Easy Halloween Party Snack Mix Recipe
Ingredients
This simple Halloween snack mix uses just a handful of easy to find ingredients. The combination of crunchy cereal, salty pretzels, creamy white chocolate chips, and colourful Halloween candy gives you a little bit of everything in every bite.

Be warned, this sweet and salty Halloween snack mix is frighteningly easy to keep snacking on.
- 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 2 cups pretzel twists
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup Halloween M&Ms
- 1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
Step 1: Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Ghost Crunch can be quite sticky while the white chocolate is setting, and the parchment paper makes it much easier to lift, break apart, and clean up afterward.
Step 2: Melt the White Chocolate
Add the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Stir to coat the chips with the oil.
Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each one, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. You will find the chips continue to melt as you stir, so take your time before heating them again.

Step 3: Spread the Cereal and Pretzels
Spread the Rice Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios, and pretzel twists over the parchment-lined baking sheet. Then mix and spread them out evenly across the pan.

Step 4: Add the White Chocolate
Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cereal and pretzel mixture. Gently toss everything together as you go, until the cereal and pretzels are evenly coated.

Step 5: Add the Halloween Candy
Once you have everything mixed, but before the white chocolate has a chance to harden, sprinkle the Halloween M&Ms and Halloween sprinkles over the top.

Step 6: Let the Ghost Crunch Set
Let the snack mix sit at room temperature for about an hour, or place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the white chocolate is firm.
Once the chocolate has hardened, break the Ghost Crunch into pieces and serve.

How to Store Ghost Crunch
This is a party-sized recipe, so you may have quite a bit left over. I suggest dividing the Ghost Crunch into 4-cup portions and storing each one in a large Ziploc bag.
Press out as much air as possible and seal the bags tightly. Keeping the snack mix well sealed helps protect the cereal and pretzels from moisture so they stay crunchy. Store the bags at cool room temperature, and only open one package at a time.
You can make Ghost Crunch a day or two before your Halloween party. Keep it sealed in the 4-cup packages until you are ready to serve it so the cereal and pretzels stay crisp.
